Jevons Robotics signs deal with Newmont Australia

We would like to congratulate the team at Jevons Robotics as they sign a deal with Newmont Australia, the world’s largest gold producer to deliver robotic solutions for some of the most dangerous jobs on site.

The Jevons Robotics team tested the ARTEV1000 right here, at the AARP! The battery-electric robot purpose built for drilling, blasting, and allowing humans to be out of harms’ way for these high-risk tasks.

One of the first startups to come onboard at the AARP, the team joined the AARP Start program and primarily utilised the Drill Bench Test Bed, which allowed them to mirror actual mine site conditions, creating a comprehensive testing environment drilling holes to a depth of 30 metres.

The close proximity of the AARP to Perth eliminated the previous 4-hour travel time for the 10-tonne autonomous vehicle to mine sites, enabled specialists to be brought in as required, and allowed the team to complete 40-50 hours of testing per week, compared with 24-28 hours previously due to travel constraints.

The facility also gave them the ability to host potential international clients, replicating real-world conditions to show successful testing.

Agility, precision and success – we are proud to support Jevons Robotics and toast their success.
